Our kits are hand assembled buy us in the UK to improve your tone! We take great pride in using the best components that work and sound better than the stock electronics often found in your guitar. We start by sorting through the already great CTS "CG" pots to create matched sets to give you an even response when rolling down your volume and tone controls, you can also choose CTS “CGS” SupraPots in the volume position. We then fit a Jupiter Yellow Vintage Tone Capacitor
This is a prewired harness for USA Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker. For guitars with metric sized pots you may need to enlarge the holes for the higher quality US spec electronics to fit and also you may need US Spec knobs.
Gibson Melody Makers were shipped originally with 500K pots for both volume and tone to allow more of the pickups bright, clear high frequencies through. Being a single coil many were replaced with 250K in the volume and tone positions and 500K in the volume and 250K in the tone position.
