#18 AWG 1950's spec copper and tinned buss wire. As commonly used for ground wire in 1950's Gibson guitars to run inbetween the potentiometers. This heavier wire will not fit inside yellow spaghetti sleeve that requires #20 AWG wire used in later instruments.
